One Shade Redder Sun & … (2023)

Photography inevitably leaves part of the world beyond the frame. One Shade Redder Sun & … expands a single observation into a spatial installation, reconstructing the surroundings of a sunset experienced on one of the final days of summer. By extending the photographic image into the exhibition space, the work examines the limits of representation and considers how place exceeds what a single image can contain. The installation marks an expansion of the practice into spatial form while remaining grounded in photography as a mode of inquiry.
